Yoseikan Budo method is based on fist, foot, throwing and weapon techniques and uses the so-called whip principle (wavy movement) in order to increase physical power. Foot and fist work stretches the muscles, whereas throws have a balancing effect due to muscle tension. Finally, the weapon training promotes speed and adaptability. Together, these training forms do not only develop physical qualities but also promote sportive creativity of athletes.

The founder of Yoseikan Budo - Minoru Mochizuki officially conferred the title of Soke to his son, Hiro Mochizuki in the summer of 2000. Through a rich and exceptional career, Minoru Mochizuki started his studies with Morihei Ueshiba and went on to study many other arts including Judo with Kyuzo Mifune and Jigoro Kano, Jujutsu, Iaido and Karate. He has combined his knowledge into a school called "Yoseikan" and has passed his skills on to his son and successor Hiro Mochizuki. This DVD contains basic body movement, kaeshi waza (reversals), tonfa, iai kumitachi, public demonstrations and much more.
